Rainbet provably fair: verifying a result yourself
Provably fair means the result of a round is fixed before you bet and can be checked afterwards. It applies to the Rainbet Originals, and it is the strongest verifiable claim on the site.
The three inputs
| Input | Who sets it |
|---|---|
| Client seed | You |
| Server seed | Rainbet, shown to you hashed before play |
| Nonce | A counter that increments with each bet |
Why the hash matters
You see the server seed as a hash before betting. A hash cannot be reversed, so it tells you nothing about the result — but it does commit the operator to a value that cannot be changed afterwards. When the seed is later revealed, it must hash to what you were shown.
Verifying a past bet
- Rotate the seed pair, which reveals the old server seed.
- Confirm the revealed seed hashes to the value shown before play.
- Re-run the client seed, server seed and nonce through the verification tool.
- The output must match the result you were given.
What it does not cover
Slots and live tables are not provably fair — they rest on independent laboratory audits instead. Only the Rainbet Originals can be verified this way.
Frequently asked questions
What does provably fair mean at Rainbet?
The result of a round is committed to before your bet and can be verified afterwards from the seed pair and nonce.
How do I verify a Rainbet bet?
Rotate the seed pair to reveal the old server seed, confirm it hashes to the value shown earlier, then re-run the seeds and nonce through the verification tool.
Are slots provably fair at Rainbet?
No. Slots and live tables rely on independent audits of the provider's random number generator.
Can Rainbet change a result after I bet?
Not on an Original. The server seed is committed to as a hash before play and must match when revealed.
Commit, then reveal
The hash is what makes it checkable.
